Moonstone Cardigan from Knit by TrineP
The cardigan has a wide/oversized fit, with balloon sleeves and a deep v-neck. First knit one side of the neck, then turn up the end of the neck piece to one front piece. When the front piece is knitted, the stitches are put to rest, while the other half of the neck piece is knitted and the other front piece. Then knit up stitches along the front pieces and the neck piece to the back. When the back is knitted, all the pieces are gathered and knitted back and forth until the body is finished. Finally, stitches are picked up along the armhole and the sleeves are knitted.
The cardigan is therefore 100% assembly-free if you knit it without pockets. If it is knitted with pockets, the stitches for the pockets are picked up at the bottom above the rib edge, and a patch is knitted, which is then sewn into the sides afterwards.
You can choose to knit the cardigan in a regular length or a short version.
