The American Skirt from Knit by Trine P
This skirt is inspired by American cheerleaders' skirts, however the construction is more high-waisted and tight around the hips. The beautiful pleats all around give a fantastic fall and life to the skirt.
The skirt is knitted from the bottom up in stocking stitch. It is knitted for approx. half way, after which the pleats are knitted. If desired, stripes can be knitted. Then take in the side at the hips, and finish with a folded edge.
