generous cardigan is a design that gives just that little something extra in your everyday wardrobe. With its balloon sleeves and with the narrow edges on both sleeves and body, it has an elegance about it that makes it all its own.

generous cardigan is knitted from the top down. With its openings, which are placed differently than with a regular raglan, an expression is created that ends with balloon sleeves after the body and sleeves have been removed. There are 5-6 continuous sts that are included at the top from the beginning of the reductions and all the way down until the balloon effect is reduced. Please note that the narrow piece knitted after the balloon on each sleeve varies greatly in length, depending on the length of your arms. Note, however, that the narrow part of the sleeve must push the balloon back so that the balloon protrudes at and below the elbow.

At the bottom of the body, on the narrow part of the sleeves and at the button posts, knit with a different knitting tension. This gives the voluminous cardigan a good firmness in these places, which makes it comfortable to wear and which frames the beautiful shape of the balloon sleeves.

Always remember to follow the number of stitches indicated for the size you are knitting, subject to the number of stitches shown in the video.

Fit
The fit is oversized with room for movement of approximately 10-16 cm. Positive ease is included in the measurements of the sizes. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (XXL) correspond to the excess width/chest measurement of your own body.

80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) cm in circumference.

That is if you measure 88 cm in chest measurement, I would recommend you to knit size (S), as it is 104 cm in circumference and you will therefore hit the recommended range of motion of 10-16 cm. I would recommend that you measure yourself before you start knitting to better assess which size will suit you best.

In addition, it is important that the knitting tension is suitable in order to achieve the right measurements.
